Hawaii Gov. Declares DADT Repeal Day

The Governor of Hawaii, Neil Abercrombie, declared Sept. 18, 2012, “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell Repeal Day” in the State of Hawaii, encouraging all Hawaiians to recognize the contributions of LGBT service members.

The proclaimation was presented to members of OutServe Hawaii, who worked with the governor’s office to highlight the event. The proclaimation recognizes the members of OutServe for their professionalism and competence in the face of adversity during the time of DADT.
